Learning
The UA Distance Learning program works with other departments and units on campus to develop and deliver specialized certificates and degree programs using video, CD-ROM, and Web technology. Engineering and Optical Sciences courses are featured, as is a Master of Engineering degree that can be completed entirely at a distance.
- Independent Study
through Correspondence- Independent Study through Correspondence courses are available to students anytime, anywhere. Students can set their own pace and have up to nine months to complete a course. The Correspondence program offers a variety Continuing Education Unit (CEU) programs for working professionals.
- Center for Computer & Professional Education
- The Center for Computer & Professional Education offers programs that train and prepare organizations and individuals in IT and business skills. Programs are delivered on campus or in customized courses at a company or workplace.
- Credit
Outreach- Credit Outreach offers a variety of flexibly-scheduled degree and certificate courses and programs for University of Arizona academic credit – both on and off the UA campus.
- Evening &
Weekend Campus- Evening & Weekend Campus is specifically designed to serve working adults, and addresses the educational needs of students who wish to earn a bachelor's degree, but can only attend classes in the evenings and on weekends. B.A. degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS), Communication, Political Science, and Psychology are offered.
- Youth
Programs- Youth Programs - Students in grades 3-12 are introduced to the excitement of a college environment through specialty summer camps offered through UA academic units, including the College of Law, the College of Optical Sciences, the School of Music, and the College of Nursing.
- Seniors' Programs
- Seniors' Programs includes two programs specifically designed for individuals 55 years of age and older: Elderhostel and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Elderhostel offers participants the opportunity to explore Tucson, Nogales, and Mexico through educational travel and programs. OLLI is a member-led organization featuring stimulating, noncredit learning on a university level.
UA Continuing Education & Academic Outreach congratulates Sue Kehl, the winner of our Football Fan Fiesta drawing to receive a $350 credit toward any Arizona Youth University (AYU) camp this summer. Sue’s daughter Kara is looking forward to being part of AYU’s first-ever Musical Theatre camp. Way to go Sue and Kara!
Arizona Youth University (AYU) offers a variety of innovative and engaging summer programs for youth in grades 3 – 12. Offered by The University of Arizona Office of Continuing Education & Academic Outreach, and in conjunction with other UA departments, AYU features creative and enthusiastic instructors, outstanding University resources, and the chance to explore a wide range of subject areas.

HOW CAN WE REGISTER?
Registration for camps is on a first-come, first-served basis, so act quickly once you know your schedule.
- Choose the camp and sessions you want.
- Select the camps for the grade level your child will enter in Fall 2008. (Courses vary for each session and location.)
- Fill out the Summer 2008 Registration Form.
