Follow these steps to register for an Engineering graduate distance course:

1. Get admitted to the University of Arizona Graduate College

6. Register for class – part-time distance students ONLY (see section 4 for more information).

1. Graduate Admission
You must be admitted to the University or Arizona as a degree or non-degree student before you can take any courses for credit.

• Graduate students who have been admitted to the UA Graduate College for the current semester or who took a class in the previous semester – go to Step 3.
• Not admitted? Apply on-line as a Graduate Non-Degree Seeking Student at the UA Graduate College. https://apply.grad.arizona.edu/

2. Master of Engineering

Read about the Master of Engineering program with distance learning options. (If you want to start distance courses before you are accepted into a degree program, make sure you’re admitted as a Graduate Non-degree student – see Step 1).

3. Professional Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering

This program is currently under revision. Contact UA Distance Learning for more information.

4. Who can register on this web site?

Any student wanting to enroll in a web based or video streamed courses offered by Distance Learning.

5. Course delivery options; tuition and fees; important dates; refund policies; FAQs; proctors

• Course delivery options: Some engineering courses are entirely web-based. Others are video-taped on campus and then distributed to students through videostreaming. Students taking video-taped courses can opt to receive the courses on DVDs in addition to receiving the videostreamed version. There’s an additional fee for this service.
• Engineering graduate courses tuition and fees.
• Important dates and refund policies.
• Frequently Asked Questions.
• Proctor forms and information: You must submit a Proctor Approval Form and a Proctor Agreement Form every semester.
• Tuition payment plan.

6. Register for Class

• Select a course from this semester’s Course List.
• Complete the Summer 2008 or Fall 2008 Graduate Registration Form.
• If you’re selecting the tuition payment plan, complete the UA Distance Learning Tuition Payment Plan Enrollment Form and include it with your first payment.
• Mail or fax the form(s) together with your payment to UA Distance Learning (see contact information, below).
• If you are applying for admission to the Graduate College and/or to the professional certificate program, you can include these forms and payments with your registration materials. Remember - if you’re including your Graduate Non-degree Admission form with your original signature, you’ll have to mail the materials or bring them in to our office.
